    Unscrew and remove the drawers and hardware.

    Note: Screw holes may need to be filled with putty.

    Before painting walls and bottom shelf, clean all surfaces with a bucket of soapy water and sponge to remove dirt and oils.

    Note: Shelf may need to be scuff-sanded after cleaning to smooth out surfaces that many have been roughed up when removing hardware.

    Use painter's tape to section off the accent wall area and the book insert.

  4. 4

    Use a 2" brush to apply Emerald Interior Latex Paint (Antler Velvet SW 9111) to the edges of the nook walls.

  5. 5

    With the roller, paint the remainder of the area using the "W" technique. Let dry.

  6. 6

    Use a 2" brush to apply Emerald Interior Latex Paint (Frolic SW 6703) to the inside edges of the bookcase.

  7. 7

    Use a mini roller to paint the remainder area of the book self. Let dry.

  8. 8

    Remove tape, and enjoy!
