Begin by removing the doors. You may need to remove screws and hardware from closet doors with either a hand screwdriver or a drill. If using an electric drill, work slowly to avoid damaging any hardware, drawers, or cabinet doors.
Note: Patch and repair defects and sand as needed. Remove excess sanding dust with damp cloth.

Clean the surface of the walls with a bucket of soapy water and sponge to remove dirt and oils before painting.

Next, use painter’s tape to protect the trim and ceiling of the closet.

Use a 2” Purdy Clearcut Elite brush to carefully paint along the edges with Emerald Interior Acrylic Latex Flat (Salute SW 7582).

With the roller, paint the remainder of the area using the “W” technique. Let dry.

Decorate by adding hooks and a bench. Enjoy!
