There are lots of different types of brushes.
Which one is right for you?
If you're applying an oil-based paint you'll need a natural bristle brush.
However, for most interior walls you'll be using a latex paint.
Polyester and polyester blend brushes are best for this kind of paint.
If you're painting small trim, like you find around a window, select a small brush, one to two inches is ideal.
For larger trim like a door or a cabinet, you'll want something a little larger, a three-inch brush is a good choice.
And for cutting in around baseboards, windows and doors, even ceilings, an angled brush will make it easier to achieve a clean edge.
A two-and-a-half-inch angled brush is fine for this work.
