SELECTING A FINISH
Most homeowners choose matte or satin finishes for their walls, as it’s the best option to hide surface imperfections. High sheen or glossy finishes have better washability, so they’re often applied in high-touch areas like bathrooms or kids' playrooms. Glossy finishes are most durable, so they’re great for trim or doors.

Make sure you have all the tools and products you need at the beginning of the project. The WORST thing is when you are on a ladder on a Saturday night and run out of paint, or don’t have a roller tray, or remember that you don’t have an angle brush to finish the trim.
