Color to Color: Selecting Exterior Colors
Enhance the curb appeal of your home by choosing the right exterior paint colors.
Video Transcription:
One of the best ways to enhance the curb appeal of your home, number one is painting it and making it really lovely.
The first thing that you need to consider, absolutely, are the things that are not going to change:
The color of your roof, if you have brick or stone, because those things will help you choose colors that will coordinate with those particular items.
That stone is usually a beautiful feature on your home.
You want it to pop and you can make it pop by making that house color just a little bit darker than it.
Front doors are the best place to express yourself.
So splash that eggplant color on your front door.
Paint it green, paint it yellow.
Make it a reflection of who you are.
Your landscape can certainly lend a lot of color.
You can add a beautiful colorful pot with colorful flowers.
Look at the house numbers.
You know you can change those out a little bit. It could be a painted bench or painted chair sitting on the patio.
So there's lots of opportunities to add those bold or splashy colors to the exterior of your home without actually painting your house.
The exterior of your home is an expression of yourself just like the interior of your home is.
So don't be afraid to do something that is a little bit more exciting and use colors that are a little more vibrant.
