A quart of paint covers 100 square feet which is enough paint to complete an accent wall project or give a door a pop of color. 

A gallon of primer covers about 200-300 square feet, which is enough primer for a 10-foot-by-10-foot and 12-foot-by-12-foot room.

Spray paint cans come in different sizes so how much a can will cover varies. As a general rule, a 4.5 ounce can covers 7 square feet, an 11 or 12 ounce can covers 20 square feet and a 16 ounce can covers about 30 square feet.

To determine how much paint you need, you need to calculate the square footage. To find the square footage, measure the length and width of your project and multiply those numbers together to get your square footage. For example, a 10-foot-by-10-foot room is 100 square feet and a 12-foot-by-12-foot room is 144 square feet.
