Steps to download AutoCAD color files

  1. Click the link to download the .acb AutoCAD Color Book.
  2. When Save As dialog appears, save the file to your computer.
  3. Open AutoCAD (version 2004 and above, LT versions have limited compatibility).
  4. Go to Tools->Options menu. This will bring up the options dialog.
  5. In the options dialog, click the "Files" tab.
  6. Within "Search paths, file names, and file locations", expand the "Color book locations" node.
  7. Press the [Add] button. Then press the [Browse] button.
  8. Browse to the location where you extracted the color books in Step 1.
  9. Press Ok button to dismiss the options dialog.
  10. In AutoCAD, when you bring up the color dialog, go to "Color Books" tab.
  11. You will be able to see the Sherwin-Williams color books in the "Color Book" dropdown.

Internet Explorer users: right click the download link below and choose the "Save Target As..." option to download the AutoCAD color book.
