Sherwin-Williams To Recognize Outstanding Student Design Projects
CLEVELAND – February 4, 2013 – Sherwin-Williams is launching its third annual STIR® Student Design Contest to recognize excellence in student-generated residential and commercial design.
Students may submit entries to the commercial or residential design category and must use a minimum of three Sherwin-Williams colors. Students may enter as individuals and, new this year, as a design team. Entries will be accepted at www.swstudentdesign.com from March 1 through April 15, 2013.
Official contest judge and Sherwin-Williams director of color marketing Jackie Jordan will select a first-, second- and third-place winner for both the residential and commercial design categories.
“We are excited to expand our Student Design Contest to reflect group project work, as collaboration is a key part of the workplace today,” said Jordan. “We’ve seen great responses in the past couple of years and look forward to seeing this year’s submissions.”
The first-place winners in each category will receive cash prizes of $2,500 and will be featured in Sherwin-Williams STIR Magazine. Second-place winners will receive $1,000 and third-place winners $500. All contest winners will be featured in the Sherwin-Williams STIR eExtra email newsletter, on the Sherwin-Williams Designer and Architect Facebook page and at www.sherwin-williams.com.
