Color Experts Expand Collaboration to Three Key Markets

Sherwin-Williams Color Studios in Robert Allen Showrooms Open in Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco

CHICAGO (June 14, 2010) — Sherwin-Williams announces the opening of three Color Studios in Robert Allen Showrooms in Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco. The new studios will extend the combined color expertise of Sherwin-Williams and The Robert Allen Group, a leading designer and marketer of decorative fabrics and furnishings, to professional designers in some of the nation’s top design markets.  The first Sherwin-Williams Color Studio opened in the Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showroom at the Decoration & Design (D & D) Building in New York, in 2009.

Building on the success of the first Sherwin-Williams Color Studio in the Robert Allen Showroom, the new studios are located in highly visible design centers in each of the cities including the Seattle Design Center, Chicago’s Merchandise Mart Plaza and the San Francisco Design Center Galleria.

Making color selection easier for designers
The two color and design experts announced a multifaceted collaboration last year. Through the collaboration, a suggested palette of complementary Sherwin-Williams colors is included in the Robert Allen Color Library upholstery and multipurpose fabric collection books, making color selection quicker and easier for designers coordinating fabric and paint. Designers who visit the Sherwin-Williams Color Studios will have access to Sherwin-Williams complete color system and to large color samples that they can take with them.

In addition to these three new studios, the Sherwin-Williams color cards and professional color library are available to designers at Robert Allen | Beacon Hill showrooms in Atlanta; Boston; Dallas; Dania (Ft. Lauderdale), Fla.; Houston; Los Angeles; Philadelphia; Troy, Mich.; Washington, D.C. and New York. The companies will co-host color-related events and trend presentations in key showrooms during the year.
