Users can now Upload Photos Into Online Color Visualizer, Rate and Review Products on sherwin-williams.com
Add a Personal Touch to Color and Product Selection
LAS VEGAS (January 19, 2010) — Visitors to the newly enhanced Sherwin-Williams Web site can now add their personal touch to both color and product selection. Key among the new features found on sherwin-williams.com is the company’s enhanced Color Visualizer, which now allows users to upload their own images into the tool while exploring color selections for a space. Beyond the enhancements to the Color Visualizer, the company has also made it possible for site visitors to rate, write and read reviews of Sherwin-Williams products to help with purchase decisions.
Visualize the Possibilities
The photo upload feature of the enhanced Color Visualizer allows users to work within their own interior room or exterior building images to explore any number of paint color combinations. There is also the option to save, e-mail, print and download the colorized images.
Beyond the new photo upload option, other enhancements to the Color Visualizer include:
- Hue and saturation adjustment capabilities. Upon selecting a color, options for the same color in lighter, darker, brighter and less bright shades are provided
- Light reflectance values (LRV) are available alongside the RGB and Hex values for each color selected
- Improved design and functionality for faster, easier use
“When it comes to color selection, there’s nothing more important than making sure the shade you select is one that matches a space’s surroundings, and evokes the personality desired in the design,” says Jackie Jordan, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams.
“We know that our customers have been looking for a way to navigate this process with greater ease and efficiency, and we’re thrilled to provide them a solution with these latest enhancements to the Color Visualizer, including the upload your own photo feature,” Jordan adds.
Along with the Color Visualizer, Sherwin-Williams offers builders a number of other color selection tools including Homescapes®, a collection of exterior color combinations selected by Sheriwn-Williams color experts that builders can choose from for their homes and communities; access to Color Marketing and Design Specialists who can recommend wall colors and coordinate with hard surfaces, window treatments and flooring; and the company’s Sher-Color™ color matching system allowing for fast, accurate matching and color uniformity from home to home. Services such as these save builders from the guessing game of color selection, and can help ensure that the colors selected will enhance their homes’ curb appeal and help close the sale faster.
