Video Transcription:

Three easy steps to a striae quartz stoned finish.

Begin by applying two coats of Duration Home Interior Latex Matte paint in your basecoat color.

Use a brush to cut into corners and edge near the ceiling or around windows.

But while the paint is still wet, blend it into the body of the wall using a ⅜ inch nap mini roller.

This is an important technique to follow as brush marks will result in an unwanted picture frame effect around the edges of your wall when you're finished.

Cover the entire area and follow the paint label recoat directions before applying a second coat.

Then allow the wall to dry completely.

Next, apply Faux Impressions Metallic with a brush and microfiber mini roller using the same cutting-in technique as in step one.

Then, continue to roll a nine inch microfiber roller across the entire wall, using a curving motion in a random overlapping pattern.

Completing your finish is a two-part process of applying Faux Impressions Quartz Stone and creating a striae effect.

Using a microfiber roller, apply Quartz Stone.

Cover an area about four feet wide from floor to ceiling and quickly move to the next part of the step.

While the quartz stone is still wet, lightly drag a wallpaper brush in vertical stripes to reveal the layer of metallic below.

Work from top to bottom and bottom to top.

Repeat this process across the wall overlapping and feathering edges of each adjacent area as you go.

This completes your beautiful striae quartz stone room.
