Step-by-step instructions for applying to concrete floors:
Painted concrete garage floors
- Remove all old, peeling, flaking paint.
- Roughen the surface with sandpaper and clean thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion.
- Apply H&C® Shield-Crete® Garage Floor Epoxy according to label directions. A test area should be applied to check for compatibility to previous coating.
- Apply two coats of H&C® Shield-Crete® Acrylic Glaze Coat according to label directions.
- For additional slip-resistance, H&C® SharkGrip® Slip Resistant Additive can be used.
Unpainted concrete garage floors
- Prepare the surface by removing foreign substances. Scrape off any surface debris, such as putty, oil, old chipped paint and dirt.
- Apply H&C® Shield-Crete Epoxy Concrete Floor Coating according to label directions.
- Apply H&C® Shield-Crete® Garage Floor Epoxy according to label directions. A test area should be applied to check for compatibility to previous coating.
- For additional slip-resistance, H&C® SharkGrip® Slip Resistant Additive can be used.
To concrete walls:
- Prepare the surface.
- Apply two coats of H&C® Concrete Stain Solid Color according to label directions.
