Sagging, Wrinkling

Loss of caulk’s initial adhesion and flexibility, causing painted caulk to crack and/or pull away.

The cracking of the paint film over a caulked area.

Paint lifting from the underlying surface in the form of flakes.

Formation in the paint film of air bubbles (foaming) or small, round concave depressions (cratering).

Downward “drooping” of the paint film immediately after application, resulting in an uneven coating.

A rough, crinkled paint surface, which occurs when uncured paint forms a “skin.”
